Hey, we're the Maclins!
But we're friends now, so you can just call us Ashlee and Dayne. We capture weddings in Dallas/Fort Worth and beyond (we really love beyond)! When it comes to a wedding day, we are journalists. Storytellers. Directors. Flies on the wall. Cheerleaders. But most of all, we’re two people that are here to CELEBRATE you. We use our cameras to tell the story of your real, joyful wedding day as it really was. All with big smiles on our faces (and probably a tear or two).

If you have, you know the feeling of being transported back in time and seeing two young kids. You barely recognize them, but they’re looking at each other with hearts in their eyes and sharing their first kiss. Or cutting their cake, or walking down the aisle together. You didn’t have the privilege of being there when they said “I do” but.. you know what? You kind of do. Thank goodness the most life changing day of their lives together is now safely documented within a wedding album or wedding film! That’s our why.
When life is hard and you need to remember your “why” for your own marriage, we hope that your wedding video takes you right back to the moment you spoke those vows. We hope you hear the way your voice quivered as you spoke the promises you made to the love of your life. Or the photo in your wedding album that shows the way you looked at your best friend with endless amounts of adoration. Marriage is a gift, but we can sometimes forget that simple fact. Everyone needs a reminder of why they started this whole marriage thing in the first place. That’s our why.
Our “why” is for you to simply remember your love. As we move throughout the wedding day, we are thinking “What would they want to show their kids? Their grandkids? Their future selves?”
Our goal is for you and your loved ones to look at your wedding photos and film and feel exactly what it was like to be there.
When we first started in our business, we kept hearing “you made us feel so comfortable!” We heard that feedback so much that we realized exactly how valuable that is to couples. Now it’s our number one priority! So when it comes to choosing your photographer or videographer, we have one major tip! Find a genuine, kind team that makes you feel comfortable!
Your photo and video team is deeply personal since you’ll be spending more time with them than anyone else on your wedding day. For that reason, it’s important that you feel at ease while the documentation is happening! If you feel stiff and awkward, it shows in photos. But if you feel relaxed, it shows!! You should feel like your story is getting told by friends. And did we mention that we’re friends now??
